Like many nice things it's what goes into them that makes them special, thats why we put over 50% of dried fruit into our luscious fruitcake but it's not just any dried fruit. We buy the very best dried fruit, then we soak it in Brandy for 2 days, before it is combined with the other ingredients and slowly baked. Then it is left to mature for a minimum of 4 weeks before decoration.

Then we cover it in a fine natural marzipan this ensures that the dark cake does not stain the icing and also gives the icing a good foundation which in turn gives your wedding cake it's final smooth finish.

When it comes to sponge cake, we can make vanilla sponge, chocolate sponge, lemon drizzle cake & carrot cake, each can be filled with vanilla "butter" cream & jam or a variety of flavours. As we make each cake to order you can even specify which jam you would like.

As with our luscious fruitcake we cover the spongecake with a fine natural marzipan as this gives the spongecake a firm and smooth covering ready to take the cover icing.

Sponge cakes are covered and decorated just a few days before your wedding as this ensures that you have a fresh cake to eat on your special day.
